I love Hap's. They are always friendly. They have great prices and wonderful food. My favorite sandwich is their 3-way.

Its not the same anymore. I used to be a loyal local customer. I used to think it was the best beef north of the MA line. Today I was really let down when I was the only customer/order and it took 20 minutes for them to make the wrong order. Doesn't taste the same either. I'm hangry, and dissapointed. I'll try again in a few months and see if things are sorted.

I have never seen anyone, in customer service, treat their customers so poorly. Since their delivery service is hit or miss, I called to see if they were delivering. Their answer was no they don't have a driver. So, I ended my call, spoke to the people wanting to order and decided to go pick it up. I called back to place our order. He asked if it was for pick up. To which I replied, yes since you're not delivering. He laughed and hung up on me. Then I had one of the workers here call back to order. He hung up on her, too. I will never call this business again, never recommend them and will be taking their menus out of our rooms. BRING BACK THE OLD HAP'S!!!!

Just want to thank the people at Hap's today, very friendly, very polite, extremely efficient and Oh, Yes !!! The food was fabulous! Now I don't have to drive all the way to Saugas to get a Great Roast beef.

I was in Haps portsmout last week and l was so disappointed!The food was over cooked no saladas at 7pm,l enjoyed Haps so much last year the same time l was enjoying water contry that is my favorite place at summer time!Last year you have some guy named George l recommended to all my friend from hete(Massachusetts) because the food was great!Unfortunately l will try to find a new place for eat!

Terrible Food! Ordered a "hot" Roast Beef sandwich, it was like it just came out of the refrigerator. I mean COLD!!! Not an exaggeration either. I didn't get take our or delivery, I ate in their restaurant. Also ordered some chicken fingers, they were dark brown. Obviously the oil they fry with is old. Which means they are cheap. Which means their ingredients are probably old too. This place is TERRIBLE!

Great roast beef here great sauce the staff and cooks are very pleasant and great prices . I have gone here numerous times I just never wrote a testimonial about it.. traffic getting out can be anpain but the pain is worth every bite.

Since being sold the chicken kabob sub is totally different have been eating that sandwich for 10 yes and now totally different. ..if I was you I wouldn't change a popular sandwich to save money. ...

I don't particularly care for the sauce they put on my roast beef sandwich, I didn't notice on the menu description of the sandwich that the sauce was an automatic inclusion.... completely ruined what was going to be a great sandwich....

This place always does it right and they're very fast and efficient. I'm never disappointed in whatever I get from them. We live right up the road and ever time I see it I crave it (which is all the time). I really wish they weren't as expensive otherwise I'd be a regular rather than it just be an occasional treat.

The 3way is the way to go! Roast Beef, Cheese, Mayo and BBQ!

Don’t believe the mediocre reviews. The north shore style roast beef here is delicious. The meat is moist, tender, and flavorful. Better than Zeno’s in Ipswich, but not better than Nick’s in Beverly, MA(theirs is the best). Hap’s homemade bbq sauce is zesty and perfectly completes the sauce/cheese/mayo holy trinity. Give them a chance!

Those that know the excellant roast beef and onion rings of north shore of Boston are going to love this placeBest I've had since moving to NHI will be going back soon

It was old. You can kinda torture yourself they have a lot of good fried food but it will stick to you but it wasn't bad anyway

Great food as usual.. however the customer service is why I rate a 4 star. The cashier was rude when asked a simple question. I understand everyone has their days but not with customer service.

I recommend the sandwich that is the picture on the front of the menu. "The three way", lol. Food was fast, uncomplicated,and good. No idea why people would complain - totally satisfied here.

The tables were so gross the left you feeling sticky... the roast beef was dark dark brown and over cooked and cold...not sure how they pulled that off.. terrible to waste $15 for a sandwich, fries and drink and have it come in Thai condition is not good service...

Not bad, not the best. Their BBQ sauce is obviously made in house which...while I give them credit it for that, would probably be better left to professionals. It's not that it's bad. It's just like a super sweet ketchup. No vinegar, no spice.

Hap's is a nice quaint little place to stop for a hamburger sub or seafood good prices and real friendly staff first time there the guy at the counter did everything he could to help us to figure out what to order if i could have given more stars i sure would have

Steak and Chicken Kabob Salads are excellent. Love the roast beef sandwiches of course!! Friendly service too.
